Once upon a time, a talented art director and production designer named Anton Noortman started up a little props hiring business in an old Jo’burg suburb called Albertsville. His love for collecting beautiful furniture, furnishings and accessories, and his extensive film industry experience – national and international - gave him the edge when it came to stocking an assortment of interesting, quirky and diverse props, from the beautifully classic to the fabulously kitsch and tacky – if you wanted something, Anton knew where to get it. His little prop shop grew so quickly that it was only six months later that he was moving his business into much bigger premises, a warehouse complex in Selby. Citrus Lounge was born.

From little props shop to large props warehouse, Citrus Lounge provides absolutely anything and everything, from small, intricate vases to lounge suites from every era, plus a skilled team of painters, upholsterers and seamstresses, who will change the look of a piece of furniture, to suit your requirements, in the blink of an eye.

This veritable treasure trove, sitting in the heart of Jozi’s inner-city, is ever-expanding, aiming to become the largest props hiring facility in South Africa and is proving this by providing added features, too, such as the diverse wardrobe department… you name it, Citrus Lounge has it.
